Adalbert von Conrad

Adalbert Friedrich Wilhelm Conrad , von Conrad since 1904 (born August 3, 1848 on the Fronza manor near Marienwerder ; † December 3, 1928 ibid) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

origin

Adalbert was the oldest son of the gentleman on Fronza and Lalkau Hermann Conrad (1814–1885) and his wife Maria, née Wernich (1820–1890). The administrative lawyer and politician Alfred von Conrad (1852-1914) was his brother.

Career

Conrad studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . After having been a Renonce semester with Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg , he became a member of Corps Saxonia Göttingen in 1868 . In 1870 he completed his studies with the trainee exam. In the last part of the Franco-German War , he took part as an avantageur in the 1st Leib-Hussar Regiment No. 1 . In 1877 he passed the government assessor exam. From 1878 to 1909 Conrad was district administrator of the district of Graudenz .

During this time he was appointed a secret councilor in 1898 and on January 27, 1904, was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility by Kaiser Wilhelm II . After retiring from civil service, he lived on his Fronza manor.

Conrad belonged to the Prussian House of Representatives from 1891 until its dissolution in 1918.
