Adalbert von Majersky

Adalbert von Majersky , pseudonym: Albert von Rhoden (born August 1, 1866 in Piechov ; † October 2, 1898 in Baden (Lower Austria) ) was an Austrian poet and editor.

After studying literary and natural science in Pressburg , Adalbert von Majersky took over the family estate after his father's death. From 1893 to 1897 he was appointed president of the International Correspondence Association . In 1893 Majersky also took over the editing of the magazine "Deutsches Dichterheim", which he moved from Dresden to Vienna. He sold the estate and went on extensive trips abroad. From 1896 Majersky lived in Baden and was involved in peace associations in Vienna.

At the age of 32, Majersky first shot his 27-year-old wife (in her sleep) and then himself.
