Adalbert von Unruh

Adalbert von Unruh (born April 21, 1906 in Halle (Saale) , † August 4, 1943 in Smolensk ) was a German lawyer and expert on aviation law .

Life

Adalbert von Unruh was the son of the government councilor Ernst von Unruh and his wife Johanna, nee. from Hangwitz. After attending school in Kassel and Göttingen, he finished his school career in 1924 with the school leaving certificate at the humanistic state high school in Göttingen.

He then studied Heads of State and Law at the University of Goettingen and was 1927 with the dissertation dogmas Historical Studies on the contrast between the state and society from Hegel to Dr. jur. PhD . After his habilitation in Göttingen with the unpublished work "On the teaching of public law encroachment on property", he worked there from 1932 as a private lecturer. After replacing the departed Ernst Forsthoff, he became an associate professor in 1936 and a full professor at the University of Frankfurt am Main in 1939 .

In November 1933 he had signed the professors' declaration of Adolf Hitler at German universities and colleges . He joined the NSDAP in 1937. From 1940 he worked for the Reich Aviation Ministry . He died in 1943 as a sergeant in a motorized anti-aircraft division in Smolensk.

He was the cousin of the resister Adam von Trott zu Solz .
