Adam Burghaber

Adam Burghaber (also Fidelis Romanus ; born October 11, 1608 in Velden , † June 14, 1687 in Konstanz ) was a German theologian and Jesuit priest .

Life

But Burgh joined after high school degree from the Jesuit School on September 24, 1626 the Jesuit order one. He initially taught at various grammar schools of his order until he was given the professorship of logic at the University of Ingolstadt in 1642 . There he remained until 1645. He then became a professor of theology called . He taught at German universities for over 16 years, particularly at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau . Between 1658 and 1665 he held the office of dean of the theological faculty seven times .

Burghaber switched to the field service. Around 1676 he received a call to the Collegium Germanicum in Rome as a spiritual director . He later returned as rector of the Jesuit college in Freiburg and finally settled in Constance.
