Adam Geric (born March 21, 1989 in Victoria , British Columbia , Canada ) is a former Canadian - Australian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Newcastle North Stars in the Australian Ice Hockey League until 2014 .

Career

Adam Geric began his career as a hockey player in his Canadian homeland with the Nanaimo Clippers, for whom he played in the British Columbia Hockey League . From 2005 to 2007 he played with the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League , which is one of the three major youth leagues in Canada. After a year with the Icemen Thunderbird in the lower class UBCTAHL, he has been playing in Australia since 2011. There he was on the ice after two years with the Gold Coast Blue Tongues in 2013 and 2014 for the Newcastle North Stars .

International

For Australia , Geric took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2014 and 2015 after his naturalization , when he was voted best player of his team, but could not prevent relegation from the A to the B group.
