Adam Green (director)
Adam Green (born March 31, 1975 in Holliston, Massachusetts ) is an American director, screenwriter and film producer.
Life
Green has been running the ArieScope Pictures film production company since 1998 with cameraman Will Barratt and film producer Cory Neal .
Green made his debut as a director and screenwriter in 2000 when he directed the comedy Coffee & Donuts . He then turned to splatter film and in 2006 directed the film Hatchet . In 2007 a comedy followed with Cheerleader Camp and another horror film, The Spiral . After a few short films in the following years, he shot Frozen and Hatchet II in 2010 , for which he also wrote the scripts. In 2011 he was involved in the horror episode film Chillerama alongside Adam Rifkin and Tim Sullivan and others .
In 2012, Green turned to television and is involved as a director, writer, actor and executive producer on the television series Holliston . In 2012 he made the documentary Digging Up the Marrow , in which he tells about the nature of monsters and the creation of fantasy characters.
In June 2013, Hatchet III was released , for which Green wrote the script, but, unlike the two predecessors, was no longer available as a director. In 2015 he developed the Adam Green's Scary Sleepover series . Victor Crowley from 2017 continues the Hatchet dance, Green took over the direction again.
Private
Green has been married to actress Rileah Vanderbilt since 2010 .
