Hatchet II is a US splatter film by Adam Green from the year 2010 and the continuation of Hatchet (2006). In June 2013, another sequel was released with Hatchet III .
action
The plot follows on from what happened in the first part of the film :
Marybeth is able to defend herself from the attack by Victor Crowley and flee to the nearby bank, where she meets the crocodile hunter Jack Cracker, who initially offers her help and shelter.
When Cracker realizes who he has invited into the house with Marybeth, he expels her - for fear of an act of reprisal by Crowley - from his house; but too late: soon Cracker is visited by Crowley and beheaded.
Marybeth learns from Clive Washington ("Reverend Zombie") that her father was one of the teenagers who accidentally set the Crowley's house on fire on Halloween night (starting the events that led to Victor's death) .
Together with the "Reverend", her "uncle" Bob ( Tom Holland ) and a few hunters, Marybeth makes her way back into the swamp to recover the bodies of her father and brother - and to kill Victor Crowley.
The ranks of the "Expedition" are quickly thinning: one forerunner after the other falls victim to Crowley's bloodshed.
In addition, Marybeth soon realizes that the Reverend is pursuing a secret agenda: He is counting on the spirit of Victor to find its peace as soon as the revenant has completed his revenge on the last living relative of his "murderer" - and the cursed wetlands around the house the Crowleys can then be used again for hunting and tourism.
The Reverend is subject to a fatal error in this regard - and is first divided into two parts by Crowley and then skinned.
In a moment of Victor's inattentiveness, Marybeth succeeds in seizing Crowley's ax - and with it, smashing the revenant's head.
One last twitch of Crowley's corpse ends Marybeth with the help of a hunting rifle and a load of shot.
