Trivia
- He burned most of his skin during a failed stunt in the 1980s
- When interpreting the character Jason Voorhees , Hodder insisted that Jason never run after his victims or harm children or animals.
- Originally, Hodder should also be in Freddy vs. Jason play along, but despite his 1.91 m, director Ronny Yu felt he was too small. Yu wanted to show the difference in height compared to Robert Englund (1.78 m), who played Freddy Krueger , as a kind of David versus Goliath effect even more clearly and hired Ken Kirzinger (1.96 m). Quite a few genre fans were disappointed, while others were very impressed by the way Kirzinger was portrayed and found him better than Hodder.
- There is an indie hardcore band (Kane Hodder) named after him. The band asked for permission beforehand to take the name, which Hodder willingly gave.
- In an episode of the British comedy series My Family , the character of Michael is bullied at school by a bigger and stronger bully named Jason Hodder. This is apparently a reference to Kane Hodder's last name and the first name of his character Jason Voorhees .
- On October 1, 2011, his biography Unmasked was published , which he wrote together with author Michael Aloisi.
