Friday the 13th Part VIII - Manhattan Death Trap (Alternative title: Friday the 13th - Manhattan Death Trap ) is an American horror film from 1989 by Rob Hedden . The film is the eighth part of Friday-the-13th. -Series .

action

The beginning of this film does not differ from that of the previous films either: Jason is dead and is resuscitated by a carelessness. This time it is the anchor of a ship that works the miracle by means of a power cable on the bottom of the lake. Jason kills the two teenagers who rescued him from his damp grave.

The next morning he finds a larger vehicle, this time an excursion boat (“Lazarus”). The destination of this death ship is Manhattan . There is a complete school class with teachers on board the ship. Jason immediately begins decimating the passengers until the teacher's niece, Rennie, notices something strange is happening on the ship. She is plagued by strange apparitions.

She wants to leave the ship immediately and seeks the captain, his father, with her friend Sean. When they see that he is dead, they immediately sound the alarm. The other youngsters, armed with various objects, search the ship for the murderer. But they can't do anything against Jason either, and so they are all brutally killed by him. The last living on the ship, Rennie, her uncle, her dog, Sean, Julian and Miss Van Deusen, can leave the "Lazarus" with a lifeboat.

When they arrive in Manhattan days later and seek help that night, Jason has followed them and is already on their heels. One after the other is killed and so Rennie and Sean have to get to safety. They flee into the sewer system. There they meet a sewer worker who tells them that the sewer system will be flooded with acid at exactly 12 noon. Jason kills this worker. As he chases Rennie, she pours acid on his face. She runs back to the injured Sean and climbs the ladder with him to escape Jason. This tries to stop them, but is swept away by the acidic acid. At the end you can see Jason's mask floating on the acid and a boy (Jason) lies in it.
