Danielle Andrea Harris (born June 1, 1977 in Plainview , New York ) is an American actress .

Life

Danielle Harris was born in 1977 in Plainview, a US town and suburb of Long Islands , New York State, to a single mother. Nothing is currently known about her birth father. She has a younger sister named Ashley. Harris grew up in the Jewish faith and has remained true to it to this day.

When she was two years old, she and her family moved to Port Orange , Florida . There she attended the Spruce Creek Elementary School , where she soon won a beauty pageant , which should bring her a short trip to New York City . During her ten-day stay there, Harris was offered numerous modeling jobs, all of which she had to decline due to the modest living situation, especially since she additionally impaired her living situation far away from New York when accepting those job offers.

Harris' mother, for her part, saw this as a welcome alternative to enable her daughter to achieve rapid professional advancement and a solid basis for her future life, and she took this opportunity to return to New York with her family. Now that Harris started working as a model, the first major television presence came not long after . During her childhood, Danielle Harris was initially seen in minor supporting roles in television series and films, such as the 1987 soap opera Love, Lies, Passion .

In 1988 Harris got a first lead role in the horror film Halloween IV - Michael Myers Returns . She also played the role of Jamie Lloyd a year later in the sequel Halloween V - The Revenge of Michael Myers . In the 1990s she played mostly minor roles in films such as Released To Kill , Last Boy Scout , Daylight, and Dark Legends . In 2007 Harris then took on the role of Annie Brackett in Rob Zombie's remake of John Carpenter's Halloween - The Night of Horror .

Harris played the protagonist Marybeth in Adam Green's old-school slasher film Hatchet II and Hatchet III . In 2011 she was in front of the camera for Michael Biehn's thriller drama The Victim and in 2012 she will appear in the Grindhouse film (also by Biehn) The Farm .

Harris dubbed the character of Debbie Gooseberry for 30 episodes for the animated series Expedition of the Gooseberries .

In 2012 Harris stood for the advertising campaign The Bloody Best Project when Carrie was in front of the camera with the blood-smeared dress from the film adaptation of the same name .

In 2013 Harris got engaged to jeweler and businessman David Gross. The couple married on January 4, 2014 during a private ceremony in Holualoa , Hawaii . During an interview in September 2013, Harris commented on an impending and long-term break from acting in order to be able to devote more time to family life and to try as a producer .

In early 2017, Danielle Harris-Gross became the mother of a son. Two years later, she gave birth to her second child in early 2019.
