Adam Kostecki

Adam Kostecki (* 1948 in Poland ) is a German violinist of Polish origin and orchestra leader as well as university lecturer at the Hanover University of Music and Drama .

Kostelecki is a student of Boris Bielenkij , with whom he studied at the Moscow Conservatory from 1967 to 1972 ( David Oistrakh was one of his teachers ). He also attended courses with Isaac Stern , Henryk Szeryng , Nathan Milstein and Yehudi Menuhin . From 1972 he was a musician in various West German orchestras. In addition to his orchestral work (from 1982 as first concertmaster at the Lower Saxony State Orchestra ), he appeared as a soloist (first in 1967 with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra ) and in chamber orchestras (Rubinstein Trio, founded in Lodz , with the cellist Stanislaw Firlej and the pianist Anna Wesolowska, Paganini-Duo with the guitarist Carsten Petermann).

From 1984 to 1990 he was soloist and deputy artistic director (under the director Wojciech Rajski ) of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic and in 1990 he became director of the Hanover Chamber Orchestra . In 1992 he became professor for violin at the Hanover Music Academy.

In addition to Europe, he has performed in Brazil, Uruguay, China, Japan and Korea, among others.
