Adam O'Farrill (born September 8, 1994 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American jazz musician ( trumpet , arrangement , composition ).

Live and act

O'Farrill worked in the New York jazz scene from the late 2000s a. a. in Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra of his father Arturo O'Farrill and with his older brother, drummer Zack O'Farrill in the band The O'Farrill Brothers (album Giant Peach , 2011), also with Rudresh Mahanthappa ( Bird Calls , 2015) and Stephen Crump ( Rhombal , 2016). In the field of jazz he was involved in eleven recording sessions between 2008 and 2017. In 2016 he released his debut album Stranger Days (Sunnyside) under his own name , which follows the post-bop tradition. In 2014 he was a prize winner in the Thelonious Monk competition .
