Adam Schwappach

Adam Friedrich Schwappach (born November 2, 1851 in Bamberg ; † February 9, 1932 in Eberswalde ) was a German forest scientist , secret government councilor, professor at the University of Gießen , professor at the Royal Forest Academy Eberswalde and department head at the Prussian main station for forestry research as well as local politicians in Eberswalde.

He was also involved in the establishment of the Arboretum Wirty .

In 1928 he was made an honorary citizen of the municipality of Eberswalde , which also named a street after him.

Reference is still made to his writings internationally today.
