Adam of Koskull
Adam Johann Reinhold August Baron von Koskull (born June 16, 1800 in Mitau , † April 21, 1874 in Mitau) was a Kurland state official.
Life
Adam von Koskull studied law from 1820 to 1823 at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich Wilhelms University of Berlin . In 1820 he became a member of the Curonia Goettingensis VI. After completing his studies, he was an assessor at the main court in Talsen from 1825 to 1829 and at the Selburg court in Jakobstadt from 1829 to 1836. In 1836 he became captain and in 1843 chief captain in Tuckum. From 1856 to 1859 he was the second youngest councilor in Mitau. In 1859 he was elected Land Marshal there. From 1859 to 1861 he was Oberburggraf, from 1861 to 1869 Landhofmeister and from 1869 to 1874 President of the Oberhofgericht in Mitau. He was also President of the Consistory from 1862 to 1868. He owned the Kruschkaln manor.
