Adama Manneh

Adama Manneh (born 1980 ) is a Gambian athlete .

Life

In March 2001, she entered the Inter Schools Athletics for the Gambia Senior Secondary School and won the 200, 400 and 800 meter runs.

On May 12, 2001 she started at the International Solidarity Athletics in Bakau (Gambia). There she set a Gambian national record with O. Jatta, S. Colley and Adama Njie with a time of 4: 05.53 min in the 4 x 400 meter relay . Manneh himself ran the route in 1: 00.99 minutes. This record was beaten by a Gambian relay team on May 14, 2017 in Conakry (Guinea) with a time of 3: 52.8 minutes.

On June 16, 2001, she was the fastest over 800 meters at the National Youth Conference and Festival (Nayconf). A week later she won the Olympic Day Run over 5km.

In November 2001 she won the Brufut Run over 4 km ahead of Jay Secka , the multiple winner of the run. In the same month she was elected to represent the athletes in the Gambian Athletics Association (GAA).

At the end of May 2002 she took part in the Solidarity Championship in Bakau (Gambia) with other Gambian athletes.

Nothing is known about further participation in the competition or her further life.
