Addrisi Brothers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Addrisi Brothers were an American pop group from Winthrop ( Massachusetts ), consisting of Don (born December 14, 1938 , † November 13, 1984 ) and Dick (born July 4, 1941 ).

Career

The brothers were initially in an acrobatics group in their family called The Flying Addrisis . Their singing career began when they met Lenny Bruce and then moved to California . After a piece of music was rejected at a performance for the Mickey Mouse Club , they switched to Del-Fi Records , later to Imperial Records and Warner Bros. Records , and recorded several singles, which were not very successful, and therefore devoted themselves to the Writing songs. In the early 1970s, they had a hit with We've Got to Get it on Again . In 1977 they managed to land a top twenty hit in the US singles charts with the title Slow Dancin 'Don't Turn Me On .

Her biggest hit as a songwriter was Never My Love for the band The Association . They also wrote the theme music for the American television series Nanny and the Professor .
