The Adolf Grimme Comprehensive School (formerly André Mouton Realschule ) is a comprehensive school in Oker (district of Goslar ) and was founded in the 2010/11 school year. It is the first comprehensive school in the Goslar district .

history

On August 27, 2013, on the 50th anniversary of his death, the school was baptized in the name of the former Minister of Education, Adolf Grimme , who was born in Goslar and was the first democratically elected Minister of Education in Lower Saxony. His grandson appeared at the naming ceremony. Previously, the school was run under the name André Moutons , who took part in the death march from Nordhausen through the Harz to the Oker train station .

Since the school year 2016/17, the AGG has had an upper school level . In addition, the school bears the titles “Environmental School in Europe” and “School Culture”.

Since the school year 2017/18, the school has had the title School without Racism - School with Courage . It is one of the few UNESCO project schools in Lower Saxony . According to its own statement, the school stands for fear-free learning and the development of personal performance profiles, hence the motto “and everyone achieves their optimum”.

Due to repeated lows in the registrations of fifth graders in the Adolf Grimme Comprehensive School, a closure of the location has been discussed since 2019.
