Adolf (Bavaria)

Adolf (born January 7, 1434 in Munich ; † before October 24, 1441 ibid) was Duke of Bavaria-Munich from the House of Wittelsbach .

Life

Adolf was the eldest son of Duke Wilhelm III. von Bayern-Munich and his wife Margarete von Kleve . His younger brother Wilhelm died in infancy. Since with Wilhelm's brother Ernst and his son Albrecht III. If two dukes capable of governing were already available, the role of the minor Adolf was very limited. He was only under the guardianship of Duke Ernst, and when he died in 1438 under the Albrechts. Since Adolf died at the age of only seven, he had no influence on the fortunes of the duchy.
