Adolf fear
Adolf Angst (born July 28, 1845 in Wil ; † March 30, 1928 there ; reformed , resident in Wil) was a Swiss entrepreneur .
Life
Adolf afraid of was on July 28, 1845, the son of community Ammann Wil Heinrich fear born. After attending school in Wil and Eglisau , he completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic with Jakob Amsler in Schaffhausen . He then spent a short time in Paris before he soon assumed a responsible position at the Huhn machine factory in St. Petersburg . After his stay in Russia , he founded the later Schaffhauser Strickmaschinenfabrik AG in Schaffhausen . Inspired by Hamburg merchants, he did pioneering work in knitting machine construction and continuously expanded his company.
Adolf Angst was married to Sophie, née Zander, the daughter of the court conductor in St. Petersburg. He died on March 30, 1928 at the age of 83 in Wil.
