Adolf Bauer (politician, 1882)

Adolf Bauer (born March 11, 1882 - † September 6, 1961 ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). Bauer was mayor of the Hessian city of Neu-Isenburg from 1947 to 1954 .

Life

After the end of World War II , the US military government appointed Ulrich Boelsen and Hans Hayn (from March 26, 1945 to May 16, 1945) as mayors. Adolf Bauer was also appointed as the full-time first city council on March 26, 1945. After his return, Wilhelm Arnoul , the last democratically elected mayor before 1933, was appointed to the mayor's office by the Americans on May 17, 1945 , and Bauer remained the first city councilor. Arnoul was elected as mayor on March 21, 1946 by the city ​​council meeting freely elected in the local elections in Hesse in 1946 (in which the SPD received an absolute majority with 57% of the votes), but soon retired from office due to his election as district administrator . On May 8, 1947, Adolf Bauer was elected as mayor by the city council. After the local elections in Hesse in 1948 , he was re-elected by the city council on June 30, 1948. His term of office ended on June 30, 1954.
