Adolf Bauer (politician, 1882)
Adolf Bauer (born March 11, 1882 - † September 6, 1961 ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). Bauer was mayor of the Hessian city of Neu-Isenburg from 1947 to 1954 .
Life
After the end of World War II , the US military government appointed Ulrich Boelsen and Hans Hayn (from March 26, 1945 to May 16, 1945) as mayors. Adolf Bauer was also appointed as the full-time first city council on March 26, 1945. After his return, Wilhelm Arnoul , the last democratically elected mayor before 1933, was appointed to the mayor's office by the Americans on May 17, 1945 , and Bauer remained the first city councilor. Arnoul was elected as mayor on March 21, 1946 by the city council meeting freely elected in the local elections in Hesse in 1946 (in which the SPD received an absolute majority with 57% of the votes), but soon retired from office due to his election as district administrator . On May 8, 1947, Adolf Bauer was elected as mayor by the city council. After the local elections in Hesse in 1948 , he was re-elected by the city council on June 30, 1948. His term of office ended on June 30, 1954.
