Adolf Brock

Adolf Brock (born August 24, 1932 in Geseke / Westphalia ) is a German trade unionist and theoretician of workers' education .

biography

From 1947 to 1950 Adolf Brock learned the trade of wheelwright and then exercised various commercial activities until 1964: construction worker, carpenter, crane driver, trained electrician, ironworker. Since 1964 he has been active in various functions in workers' and popular education. Among other things, he was a lecturer at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Hanover (from 1974 to 1987) and from 1986 lecturer at the Academy for Work and Politics at the University of Bremen .

Awards

On July 10, 2009, the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Movement Science at the University of Hamburg awarded Adolf Brock an honorary doctorate for his services to adult education and trade union education.
