Adolf Dietrich Hermann von Merveldt

Adolf Dietrich Hermann von Merveldt (born April 21, 1623 - † June 27, 1639 ) was canon in Münster and Paderborn.

Life

Adolf Dietrich Hermann von Merveldt grew up as the son of Dietrich Hermann I von Merveldt zu Westerwinkel (1598–1658, Chancellor, Privy Councilor and Chamberlain) and his wife Gertrud von Ketteler zu Sythen (1600–1630) together with his brother Dietrich Hermann II ( 1624–1688, Amtsdroste in Wolbeck) and his half-sisters Clara Sibylla and Maria Ursula in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Merveldt .

With the receipt of the tonsure on November 27, 1636, Adolf Dietrich was prepared for a clerical office. By episcopal encouragement he received in 1638 for the late Johann Ebertin Raitz von Frentz a Dompräbende in Munster and a short time later by the Turnar a stipend in Paderborn .
