Adolf Eser

Adolf Eser (born June 24, 1936 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German former economic politician and functionary of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). From 1984 to 1990 he was General Director of VEB Chemiekombinat Bitterfeld .

Life

Eser, the son of an employee, attended elementary and vocational school and learned to be a machine fitter by 1950 . In 1950 he joined the Free German Youth (FDJ). In 1954 he became a member of the SED and until 1956 did military service with the Kasernierte Volkspolizei (KVP).

1956/57 Eser was a radio mechanic at VEB Chemische Werke Buna . In 1960 he put on a workers 'and peasants' faculty , the high school and took a correspondence course at the Technical University Leuna-Merseburg on which he awarded the degree of Dr. Ing. Graduated. By 1975 he was promoted to head of department at the Bitterfeld Chemical Combine.

In 1972/73 Eser took part in a course at the SED district party school and in 1975 became secretary for economic policy of the SED district leadership within the Bitterfeld combine. From 1971 to 1976 he was a candidate for the SED district leadership in Halle. In 1979/80 he took part in a further course at the “Karl Marx” party college of the SED and, in 1984, succeeded Heinz Schwarz as General Director of the Bitterfeld Chemical Combine. In 1986 he was promoted to Dr. oec. PhD.

After the reunification and the peaceful revolution in the GDR , Eser was replaced in 1990. From 1991 to 1995 he was the managing partner of a plant engineering company. Eser is the author of several publications on the history of the chemical industry in Bitterfeld.
