Adolf Koehler

Adolf Gottfried Koehler (born January 3, 1882 in Bockum ; † December 13, 1941 in Wetzlar ) was a German coal and steel industrialist and from 1926 to 1941 chairman of the board of Buderus AG .

Live and act

Koehler began an apprenticeship as a businessman at Buderus'sche Eisenwerke in Wetzlar in 1898 . His uncle Eduard Kaiser , who had been General Director since 1896, took him into care. In 1917 Koehler became commercial director and in 1919 a member of the board. After all, Adolf Koehler was Chairman of the Board of Management of Buderus from 1926 until his death.

Koehler was also President of the Wetzlar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of the Commerzbank Supervisory Board . He also had an honorary doctorate as Dr. Ing. Received anyway . Koehler belonged to a Masonic lodge and was not a member of the NSDAP .
