Adolf Korompay
Adolf Korompay (born July 14, 1800 in Jägerndorf , Austrian Silesia , † August 4, 1864 in Vienna ) was an Austrian builder and architect .
Life
Adolf Korompay was the son of the councilor and syndic Johann Korompay and his wife Josepha Wilsch and came from Austrian Silesia. Nothing is known about his youth and education; it is possible that he already received this in Vienna, where he built his first famous house in 1826. In 1834 Korompay became a citizen of Vienna and received the master builder license. From 1836 member of the building and stonemason cooperative, in 1844 he was guild master or guild chief.
Korompay was married to Aloisia Baßlinger for the first time in 1825 and to Susanna Pickl for the second time in 1828, with whom he had the son Gustav von Korompay . He became an architect. Korompay died in Vienna at the age of sixty-fourth.
