Adolf Kreutz

Friedrich Jacob Adolf Kreutz (born January 18, 1822 in Siegen ; † July 4, 1895 in Königswinter ) was an entrepreneur and member of the German Reichstag and the founder of the Charlottenhütte in Niederschelden.

Life

Kreutz attended secondary school 1st order in Siegen. In 1856 he founded the Charlottenhütte in Niederschelden with his brother Carl, who was 10 years older than him. It was named after his mother Charlotte-Christine Kreutz, b. Diesterweg (1785-1856). She was a sister of Adolf Diesterweg from Siegen.

Adolf Kreutz was married to Ida, Friedericke, Luise Capito from Siegen in his first marriage and to Julie Klarenbach from Königswinter in his second marriage. Kreutz was a member of the Westphalian Provincial Landtag and from 1878 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Arnsberg 1 (Siegen, Wittgenstein , Biedenkopf ).
