Adolf Lefèvre

Adolf Lefèvre (born May 15, 1669 in Lübeck ; † September 26, 1733 there ) was a Lübeck lawyer and councilor.

Life

Adolf Lefèvre was the son of the Lübeck merchant Franz Lefèvre († 1693). Grandfather Dietrich Lefèvre had come to Lübeck from Antwerp . He studied law at the Universities of Rostock , University of Frankfurt / Oder and Leipzig from 1688 to 1694. A grand tour with his fellow student from Leipzig, who also came from Lübeck, and later Lübeck mayor Anton von Lüneburg , followed on from his studies. Lefèvre married a daughter of Adolf Brüning, councilor from Lübeck, in 1699 . In 1731 he was elected councilor. He owned the Strecknitz estate within the Lübeck Landwehr .

His son Hermann Adolf le Fèvre became Council Secretary of the City of Lübeck. The councilor Johann Philipp Lefèvre was a nephew.
