Adolf Meier (politician)

Adolf Meier (* February 1868 , † November 16, 1920 in Detmold ) was a German confectioner and member of the Lippian state parliament ( DVP ).

Life

Adolf Meier came from Gronau and took over Ernst Kuhlmann's business in Detmold Neustadt on April 15, 1898 as master confectioner . From 1905 he was court confectioner of the Lippe Princely House.

In the 1919 state elections , Adolf Meier became a member of the Lippischer Wahlverband, but was not elected. After Wilhelm Alter junior resigned from his mandate, Meier moved up on June 28, 1920. He died during his first term in office in November 1920, followed by Clara Lüken .

Adolf Meier was also president of the Detmold Chamber of Crafts from July 1915 to November 1920 and co-founder and managing director of the German Confectioners Association. He also published books on the confectionery trade: What should and must the apprentice confectioner know? A guide with practical questions and a product knowledge. (with FW Eikmeier, Paul Reber Verlag, 1903) and the writings album for confectioners. Along with monograms and cake signs. With 25 panels. (Verlag Heinrich Killinger, 1909).
