Adolf Ott (priest)

Adolf Ott (born September 12, 1869 in Hechingen , Hohenzollernsche Lande , † April 28, 1926 in Cologne ) was a German Catholic priest and official .

The Dr. theol. et phil. Ott was ordained a priest on July 10, 1892 in Eichstätt , where he also worked in pastoral care until 1896.

After studying law and political science from 1896 to 1899, he became prebender in Breisach in 1899 , from where he went to military chaplaincy in 1903. Here he was division pastor from 1914 to 1916 and on November 22, 1919 he became cathedral chapter in Cologne.

Since March 26, 1920, he was appointed Vicariate General in the administration of the Archdiocese , on March 17, 1921, he was also appointed Prosynodal Examinator and on October 5, 1923, Archbishop Cardinal Karl Joseph Schulte made him official.
