Adolf Promber

Adolf Promber (born April 17, 1843 in Hungarian Hradisch ; † February 3, 1899 in Brno ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician . He was a member of the Imperial Council and the Moravian Landtag .

Life

The son of a Jewish tax collector, studied Promber after visiting the Upper School in Kremsier 1860-1864 Law at the University of Vienna , where he 1867 Dr. iur. received his doctorate . During his studies in 1861 he became a member of the Silesia Vienna fraternity . In 1871 he became a notary in Frankstadt and in 1872 a lawyer in Brno. Since 1867 he was involved in the German Liberal Party in Moravia and was elected several times to the Reichsrat from 1873 , where he belonged to the German Progress Club , later to the United Left and from 1897 to the Mauthner Group ( United German Association ). From 1877 he was a member of the Moravian Parliament. From 1896 to 1899 he was Deputy Governor . He was a member of the Moravian Bar Association and President of the Moravian-Silesian Mutual Insurance Company .
