Adolf Rhode

Adolf Rhode (born April 23, 1815 in Korbach , † November 5, 1891 in Arolsen ) was a German judge and politician in Waldeck .

Rhode was the son of the Supreme Court Councilor August Rhode and his wife Julie nee Hagemann. He married Anna Ernestine Reinhardine Sophie Auguste née Heiner on June 29, 1855 in Nieder-Ense.

He attended the Korbach grammar school and studied law in Göttingen and Heidelberg from 1834 to 1839 . In 1839 he became a lawyer in Korbach and in 1856 a senior court assessor. In 1858 he was appointed senior judge in Korbach and Arolsen.

From 1869 to 1891 he was a member of the Waldeck-Pyrmont Landtag for the electoral district of Twiste . In parliament he was from 1871 to 1876 and again from 1878 to 1890 President of the Parliament . He belonged to the NLP .
