Adolf Wessely

Adolf Wessely (born December 10, 1931 in Auspitz , Czechoslovakia ; † December 11, 2012 ) was an Austrian actor .

After graduating from the Krauss drama school in Vienna, he made his debut at the Innsbruck State Theater in 1956 , where he remained engaged until 1958. In the 1958/59 season he was engaged at the St. Gallen Theater . Wessely's other stage stops were the Theater Basel (1965–1968), the Schauspielhaus Graz (1968–1974), the State Theater Braunschweig (1974–1978) and the State Theater Linz (1978–1982). From 1983 he appeared at various theaters in Vienna .

In the 1989/90 season he took over the “grumpy” Colonel in the operetta premiere Bad'ner Madln (with music by Karl Komzák ) by Hans Fretzer and Norbert Pawlicki at the Baden City Theater .
