Adolf Zogbaum

Gustav Adolf Zogbaum (born January 26, 1883 in Camphausen , Saarbrücken , † October 29, 1950 in Bad Salzig ) was a German landscape painter and graphic artist.

Live and act

Zogbaum attended secondary school in Saarbrücken; around 1900 he made his first attempts at painting. He completed his training at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Adolf Maennchen , Peter Janssen the Elder and Willy Spatz . He then worked as a drawing teacher at secondary schools in Koblenz and at the teacher training college in Boppard . In the 1920s, oil paintings and 70 graphic works by Zogbaum were exhibited in Koblenz. Most recently he lived in Bad Salzig. Pictures by Zogbaum are exhibited in Koblenz in the Hilda School (workers in the vineyard) and in the town hall (autumn evening in the Eifel) . He found the motifs for his landscapes in the Eifel and Middle Rhine Valley.
