Adolph Böcking (politician)

Adolph Carl Böcking (born May 15, 1799 in Trarbach ; † November 15, 1866 there ) was a German winery owner, businessman and politician.

He took over a winery and trading business in Trarbach from his father Ludwig Becker. Later he was also the owner of a paper mill in Kautenbach . In 1826 he married Eleonore Wilhelmine Wagner, who died in 1834. He was politically active from 1837 to 1841 as a deputy member of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament and in 1848 as a member of the Frankfurt preliminary parliament . From May 18, 1848 to May 26, 1949 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly . There he belonged to the Württemberger Hof . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . In 1849 he refused to be elected to the Second Prussian Chamber and from 1862 to 1866 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he joined the Left Center.
