Adolph Christian Wendler
Adolph Christian Wendler (born August 12, 1734 in Dobrilugk ; † February 3, 1794 in Leipzig ) was an Electoral Saxon lawyer and mayor of Leipzig six times between 1783 and 1793 .
Career
Wendler's father Royal Polish and Electoral Saxon was Commissionsrath and magistrate in Doberlug. Wendler studied law at the Leucorea in Wittenberg , where he was awarded a Dr. iur. received his doctorate.
In 1767 Wendler was elected to the City Council of Leipzig. In Leipzig he was appointed city judge (1777), master builder (1781) and scabinus (lay judge). In the years 1783, 1785, 1787, 1789, 1791 and 1793 Wendler was mayor of Leipzig.
Wendler was the elector's real councilor and since 1793 a secret war councilor.
