Adoni is a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh .
Adoni is located in the Kurnool district 85 km west-southwest of the district capital Kurnool . The town of Siruguppa is 40 km west of Adoni . Adoni was founded in 1865. The city ( Adoni Municipality ) had 166,537 inhabitants at the 2011 census; Ten years earlier it was 157,305.
Adoni is on the national highway NH 167 ( Bellary - Mahbubnagar ).
