Prasad Gallela
Prasad Gallela (born April 7, 1962 in Adoni , Andhra Pradesh , India ) is an Indian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Cuddapah .
Life
Prasad Gallela studied at the seminaries of Kurnool and Hyderabad . He received the sacrament of ordination on March 1, 1989 and was then rector, spiritual and parish priest in the diocese of Kurnool until 1999 . In 2000 he received his doctorate theologiae in Rome .
On January 31, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Cuddapah. The Archbishop of Hyderabad, Marampudi Joji , donated him episcopal ordination on March 1 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Vijayawada , Prakash Mallavarapu , and the Bishop of Nellore , Doraboina Moses Prakasam .
Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on December 10, 2018.
