Adorján Ferenc Kovács

Adorján Ferenc Kovács (* 1958 in Stolzenau ) is a German facial surgeon and publicist .

Life

Kovács studied human medicine at the University of Ulm from 1977 to 1983 and received his doctorate in 1984 on measurements of respiratory resistance in tracheal stenoses. From 1985 to 1988 he studied dentistry and philosophy at the University of Frankfurt am Main , where he received his doctorate in 1992 on the diagnosis and treatment of cranio- and craniofaciostenoses. In 2002, he qualified as a professor in Frankfurt am Main for oral and maxillofacial surgery with a paper on intra-arterial chemotherapy for oral and pharyngeal carcinomas. The Semmelweis University Budapest certified the habilitation.

Research priorities

The focus of his medical work was on implantology for borderline indications, craniofacial radiometry and the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck tumors . The main focus here are studies on regional high-dose chemotherapy in a neoadjuvant setting, a new type of chemoembolization, an obligatory multimodality treatment for each tumor stage, maximum therapy from four modalities, adjuvant chemoradiotherapy with the taxane docetaxel, adjuvant systemic chemotherapy and the use of sentinel Lymph node method for head and neck cancer.

In 2010 he published the article Patronage and Money in the Berlin Journal for Sociology about qualification and closure in the university sector. In 2012 he published articles and essays under the title German Sentiments: A Circumference . He has also written a book about Liszt's Bergsymphonie.
