Reviews

The album was less well received by the trade press. Again, the Rammstein copy allegations and various comparisons with the band are dominant. The band was also accused of taking a step backwards musically, and the full potential of the band was not used.

“Musically, OST + FRONT again deliver plenty of beautiful approaches on this record, which, however, hardly come into their own due to the chosen textual implementation. [...] After listening to "Adrenalin" I could hardly decide which word best describes my emotional state: annoyed, bored or frustrated due to the backwardness of an otherwise innovative band? "

- Matthias Weise : Metal.de

“Conclusion: Of course, when I listen to this album, a different band name comes into my head, but I will definitely not be the only one. And there are certainly worse things than being compared to Rammstein, especially if, objectively, one can easily pass this comparison. In any case, NDH fans can have no worries, even if, like me before their appearance at Castle Rock, they really shouldn't know Ost + Front. "

- Heike L .: Time for Metal

“Somehow it speaks unintentionally large volumes when you read that OST + FRONT are often considered the best RAMMSTEIN copy. Do the last men even know what kind of subculture they are responsible for? Maybe. In the end, that doesn't play a particularly important role, because one way or another, "Adrenalin" is musically at best a pubertal imitation, whose involuntarily funny, clumsy use of language, far from any self-irony, at least occasionally makes for a (tendentially unwanted) smile where it Instrumentals just come across as undercooked, interchangeable and mostly even junky-trashy. But that's enough for one listening session at most and after that the mass is read in full again. The constructive, provocative appearance and the high-gloss production by Bogren, which are supposed to conceal a lack of artistic quality rather than a real stylistic device, change nothing. "

- Pascal Staub : Stormbringer
