Adrian McKinty (* 1968 in Belfast , Northern Ireland ) is a Northern Irish crime writer.

life and career

McKinty grew up in Carrickfergus , near Belfast. He studied law at the University of Warwick , Coventry, and politics and philosophy at the University of Oxford . After completing his studies, he moved to the USA, where he worked in Harlem as a security guard, sales representative, rugby coach, bookseller and postman. In 2001 he moved to Denver and has lived in Melbourne since 2008 . He is married and has two children. McKinty's books are hardboiled- noir literary detective novels. His novel Cold Water (2019) was number 7 on the Kimi best list in September 2019.
