Adrian Schenker

Adrian Schenker OP (born July 17, 1939 in Zurich ) is a Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

In 1958 he entered the Dominican Order . After studying theology at the University of Friborg , he with the 1965 Licentiate graduating, he continued his studies in Biblical Studies in Rome (lic. Bibl. 1966) and Jerusalem ( École Biblique 1966-1967) continued . In 1972 he received his doctorate from the University of Freiburg. He has taught at the University of Freiburg since 1967 as a private lecturer and since 1982 as a professor . From 1983 to 1988 he was also Vice Rector . In 1997 he taught as a visiting professor at the Pontificio Istituto Biblico in Rome.
