Adriana Martín Santamaría (born November 7, 1986 in La Puebla de Valverde ) is a Spanish soccer player .
Career
society
Martín began her career in 2002 in the women's division of FC Barcelona , from which she moved to CE Sabadell after one season . After only one year she returned to Barcelona and in 2005 she joined city rivals Espanyol Barcelona , where she played until 2009 and won the championship once and the cup competition twice. With her next club, Rayo Vallecano , she was able to win the Spanish championship in the 2009/2010 season, as in the following year.
In 2011, Martin ran briefly each time for both CF Pozuelo de Alarcón , as well as the WPS - Franchise of Sky Blue FC on before the 2011/12 season to Atletico Madrid moved. In the summer of 2012, she returned to the USA and joined the WPSL elite participant Western New York Flash , before playing for the women's team at Chelsea for a short time and then returning to Atlético Madrid.
In early 2013, Martín was hired by the newly founded NWSL franchise Western New York Flash . She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against Sky Blue FC , and she scored her first goal in the NWSL on May 1 against Sky Blue FC. In September 2014 she moved to the Spanish first division club Levante UD .
National team
Martín plays for the Spanish national team and took part with them in the 2013 European Championship , where they lost 3-1 to Norway in the quarterfinals .
