Adrien Brandeis

Adrien Brandeis (born June 24, 1992 in Annecy ) is a French jazz musician ( piano , composition ).

Live and act

Brandeis began his musical career in 2010 with guitarist Guy Zenouda. At the Conservatory in Cagnes-sur-Mer , the pianist Philippe Cocogne introduced him to jazz and Latin music . He later studied jazz piano at the Conservatories of Nice and Paris with Robert Persi and Manuel Rocheman . During his studies he developed his own language on his instrument, “based on a vocabulary from contemporary jazz, Latin and Afro-Cuban music.” In 2018 he and his quintet released their debut album “Euforia”, which he initially released in India and Nepal and in 2019 at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival , Umbria Jazz , Jazzopen , Leopolis Jazz Fest , Nice Jazz Festival and other major jazz festivals in Europe.

Prizes and awards

Brandeis won the LetterOne Rising Stars Jazz Award in 2018 "with his outstanding musicality and innovative approach" .
