Adrien Tschumy
Adrien Tschumy (born June 8, 1930 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss engineer and officer ( corps commander ).
Life
Tschumy was born the son of a dentist. From 1949 to 1954 he studied mechanical engineering at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne . He then worked as an assistant until he joined Oyex as an engineer in 1957. Most recently, he was a member of the management team at Ateliers des Charmilles in Geneva until 1981 .
In 1966 he became a general staff officer and in 1982 a division general . From 1982 to 1988 he was in command of Mountain Division 10 and from 1989 to 1992 in command of Mountain Army Corps 3 . In 1994 he took over the presidency of the Swiss Association for Military History and Military Science .
From 1994 to 1997 he was mayor of Prangins .
