Adrien de Wignacourt
Adrien de Wignacourt (* 1618 in France ; † February 4, 1697 ) was the 63rd Grand Master of the Order of Malta .
He was a nephew of the 54th Grand Master, Fra ' Alof de Wignacourt .
He served from July 24, 1690 until his death in 1697. Before he was elected Grand Master, he was Prior of the Auvergne Tongue .
Adrien created a widow's and orphan's fund for the survivors of those who fell in the fighting against the Turks .
He managed to end the protracted dispute with Genoa .
During his reign a severe earthquake struck Sicily , Malta and Gozo .
