Adrienne Marden

Adrienne Marden (born September 2, 1909 in Cleveland , Ohio as Mabel Adrienne Baruch , † November 9, 1978 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actress .

Life

Adrienne Marden began her acting career at the age of 17. For the first few years she was on stage under the stage name Mabel Marden . After her film debut in 1932 in a small supporting role in the melodrama Rasputin: The Demon of Russia , she played under her original stage name for two years before changing it to Adrienne Marden. She made her Broadway debut in 1934 in the play Merrily We Roll Along, written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart . Until her death, she played in over 100 film and television productions, including in television series such as Auf der Flucht , Kung Fu and Detective Rockford - a call is enough as well as movies such as The Curse of the South and Separate Beds .

On November 9, 1978, Marden died at the age of 69 from complications from a heart attack . She was married and divorced twice in hers. Her first marriage was from 1938 to 1954 with the actor Whit Bissell . The couple had two children together. Her second marriage was from 1956 to 1962 with the actor Wendell Holmes .
