Ae-Ri Noort

Ae-Ri Noort (born January 10, 1983 in Seoul ) is a Dutch helmswoman in rowing .

Athletic career

The 1.60 m tall Ae-Ri Noort took over the position of helmswoman in the Dutch eighth in 2014 . At the European Championships in 2014 , the eighth finished fourth. Three months later at the 2014 World Championships , the eighth missed the A-final and finished second in the B-final in eighth place. In 2015 the eighth finished second behind the Russians at the European Championships in Poznan. At the 2015 World Championships , the eighth finished sixth. At the beginning of the 2016 Olympic season, the Dutch eighth won the Rowing World Cup in Varese. At the European Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel, the British won ahead of the Dutch eighth. With a second place in the qualification regatta in Lucerne, the Dutch women secured their Olympic ticket. At the Olympic regatta in Rio de Janeiro, the Dutch eighth finished sixth.

At the European Championships 2017 in Račice u Štětí, the Dutch eighth won silver at the European Championships for the third time in a row, this time behind the Romanians. Four months later at the World Championships , the eighth finished sixth. In 2018 Ae-Ri Noort did not take part in the European Championships, Dieuwke Fetter steered the boat to the bronze medal for her . Noort was there again at the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv and finished in fourth place.

Ae-Ri Noort starts for the rowing association Okeanos from Amsterdam. She has been a doctor of medicine since 2015.
