Afraid of Heights is the fifth studio album by the Canadian alternative rock band Billy Talent . It was released on July 29, 2016 and is the band's first album since Dead Silence from 2012.

It is also the first album that had to be recorded without the drummer Aaron Solowoniuk , as he was not in the necessary physical condition due to a relapse of his multiple sclerosis disease . Jordan Hastings, the drummer of Alexisonfire and Say Yes jumped in for the recordings. In the first week of sales, the album was sold about 53,000 times.

Recording and publication

On January 5, 2016, the band posted a photo of a condenser microphone on their Facebook page, with the caption "It begins". That heralded the start of recording the album.
