success
Billy Talent achieved with their second studio album Billy Talent II not only successes in their home country Canada but also some successes in German-speaking countries.
The album sold over 200,000 times in Canada and has since been awarded the platinum record there twice. In addition, Billy Talent II reached number one on the charts there. In Germany, too, the album rose to number 1 in the charts and stayed in the chart rankings for 66 weeks. After more than 300,000 copies had been sold, the album was awarded gold three times in Germany. In addition, the album was once awarded the platinum record in Austria, but only one hurdle of 30,000 sold pieces had to be overcome due to the technical differences between countries. Here, too, a top chart position was achieved and Billy Talent II stayed in the charts in Austria for 84 weeks.
In the English-speaking world, the success was to a rather moderate extent. For example, Billy Talent II only made it to # 134 on the Billboard Hot 200 in the United States .
