Agenor (son of Pleuron)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Agenor ( Greek  Ἀγήνωρ ) is in Greek mythology the son of Pleuron and Xanthippe , a grandson of Aitolus and thus a descendant of Endymion . He married Epicaste , the daughter of his uncle Kalydon , with whom he fathered Porthaon and Demonike . Pausanias also names Thestios , Leda's father , as the son of Agenor. In Hyginus Mythographus , Agenor and Plexippos are the uncles of Meleager who killed them after the Calydonian boar hunt , so in this case they would be sons of Thestios.
